Logo

Our logo embodies our values and founding principles. We are an emerging company working to create and develop emerging brands and businesses. We only deliver what our clients need, nothing superfluous. This is represented by only showing the letter forms needed to read the word. The mark is perfectly balanced, carefully considered and grounded, much like the founding directors.

The horizon line

Throughout our brand and comms, you’ll see this line, both subtle and overt. It represents us as a growing company, an evolving idea and as a thriving team. It also reflects our fundamental building blocks - we can’t create without understanding and establishing the strategic foundations of a business and a brand.

Cousin in colour

Working across industries, countries and demographics, our palette represents us, but also offers up plenty of flex. We went bold and diverse, with strong colour pairings to allow for interesting graphic expression.

Naming

The name Cousin originated in the knowledge that small businesses and SMEs need a partner they can trust. With a modest and finite budget, decisions to appoint new partners are often made on a handful of conversations and a strong gut feel. With family, we often have a sense of familiarity and trust - this is the relationship we strive to have with our clients. Our brand film documents the origin of Cousin, and is a direct expression of this ethos in practice.

Creativity within boundaries

Rarely do we have a free reign in commercial design. Tight deadlines, limited budget or finite internal capacity for our client, they are all constraints that make us even more creative with our ideas. So we’ve made it our mission to deliver and champion the most innovative responses within the parameters of any project.

Measuring success

Creating and developing our own brand has been a labour of love. We challenged ourselves at every turn to deliver a brand and experience we would all be proud of. To us the Cousin brand doesn’t just represent a company, it represents a belief and values system. Plus, it’s the result of the knowledge and expertise we have collectively accrued over our careers.
